why does the new add on cruseship not turn? plus the horn doesnt work. the ship from add on 2006 put on 2008.

Why is it that the cruise ship turns the opposite way to the rudder( turn rudder to port it goes to starboard)?

Because it doesn't have a rudder. It is pod driven. So you steer the opposite way

As I said in your other thread about the horns of the addon ships,..

My horns don't work either. I don't recall if they did before though.

so my guess is, as the addon pack is not yet completed, there are no horns on those 6 ships yet.

They will probably update it once the official 2008 add-on is released. Remember this was an early release for 2006 add-on customers.

Ship sim 2008 add-on's ships do not have horns. Driving the Ocean star is very hard, but all the same, it does turn.

you have to own ss2006 to get the 2008 add-on for free? That sux really bad. Owning 2006 gets you special treatment? I didn't know of ShipSim till 2008 was available. That is just not fair. Everyone on this forum should have had a chance.

No, you're looking at it from the wrong angle.

The SS2008 Addon is basically a tuned up SS2006 addon. So if you allready payed for that one, then you will get the 20008 version for free. Either way, the addon will cost ya, it's not like it's totally free. Either you pay for the 2006 one, or you pay for the soon to come 2008 one. So no one gets special treatment, they just don't wanna make people pay twice for what is basically the same addon. I hope you get the point, as you didnt seem to understand the "deal".
So it's not SS2006 that is the thing that makes you get it free.. it's the SS2006 Addon

I didn't understand on the concept of owning the SS2006 add-on would get you a free 2008 add-on. I didn't realize the 2008 add-on was just an upgrade of the 2006 add-on. It would be the same thing but just a different version. I understand now so no problem here anymore.

To handle the OS just play with the joystick at the vessel's command or on your screen.
Make sure that at the green circle you had set the speed in both joy's (The red one is to set power stern)

I don't know why you are so sensitive but my advice would be to lighten up a bit.

Respect is not granted automatically, you have to earn it. And there have been quite a few instances where you obviously did not respect the opinions of others. So then explain to me why you expect others to treat you any better. (Even though they normally do!)

You seem to regard every post directed at you as some kind of personal attack. And even though you make snide remarks to others, when someone else does it to you, you go into another "boohoo they are all against me" routine. If you had read a few posts in this thread more carefully, you didn't even had to make that snide remark.

My advice to you is, do not take everything you read here so seriously and personal. It might do you some good. If you want your opinions respected, then do the same thing to others. And before you start at me, this is NOT a personal attack, I am just giving you my honest opinion.
