The Flight simulator X
« on: December 24, 2007, 09:05:36 »

Have you all imagined piloting, and in the whole world? The Flight Simulator X allows you to pilot the most popular aircrafts around the world; from an easy upright to the boeing 747 jumbo jet, and also you can go anywhere on earth you want! Because it has global textures! Its quality is much more better than Shipsim, You can hear Automonos/AI ship's, Aircrafts or car's sound! You can control anything on the aircrafts even cabin pressurer or fasten seat-belt signs.

Better quality than shipsim you said.

You can't always here ships like you do planes. Planes are noisy, so of course you can here them.

FlightSim has had years to get going. ShipSim have had ONLY 2.

Why do people compare a ship simulator with a plane sim?

Anyway, it is a good game :D

They don't compare ships vs planes. I think they compare when it comes to huge environments and the scenarios themselves. People want the Ship Simulator world to be like the open world in FSX which is another  giant task that VSTEP need to find out if the world in SS is going to be open so you can sail anywhere. Anyway a open world means all water channels and all the sea environments and not so much land that you got in FSX. And then you have the mass of harbors and quays that need to be added, and all major ports etc + landmarks, cities, towns.. etc. It's just a massive piece of work when just thinking on it. :)

ive got fs x deluxe and its a great game, the reason i bought it was the fact that u could fly anywhere u want without the hassle of a reloading screen all the time, unlike ship sim.fs deluxe has all the landmarks with every single airport in the world,(even small county ones) and has multiplayer with vhf radio so u can communicate to atc or other planes.

vstep have the potential to do it but it will take them a while to get there

i juz wish vstep would bring ship sim out to australia so i can buy it  :(

Let me get this straight. In small talk we can only talk about ships?
I thought we could talk about anything, just stay with the topic.

You should NOT go around telling people licence keys in public forums. Licence keys are important and must be kept safe... It is like your credit card pin. (I dont have one, but I know how important it is) If you go telling people licence keys, then you may find yourself in serious trouble. Thats why crack code websites are ileagel. If someone gets hold of the licence key, they might use it in many differnet useful ways, and mostly those useful ways will affect your game and may also be ileagel. I tell you, dont go telling people licence keys again, if two people have the same icence keys, then it is a crime, and the guy useing it might get arrested, along with you for telling him. If you HAVE to tell anyone your licence keys (which you should NOT, then go and compose a personal message. Now who knows how many people have seen that licence key are who knows what its going on... I know I am makeing a mountain out of a molehole but it is VERY DANGOURIS, NOT RIGHT AND VERY UNSAFE. dont to it again. (delete that comment NOW)

EDIT: Original post edited - quote edited as well. groennegaard.

You are very right, Cap’n T.
I have just one suggestion: you might edit the key out of the quote in your post.
Or, you could just change a few characters. :)

Well I'm running it without problem. To say that "no computers can run it correctly" must be your personal experience with FSX. If no computers cud run it correctly then it probably would not be released. ;)

When it comes to "no computer" being able to "run it correctly", the Service pack 1 that Microsoft released for FSX really boosted performance. I remember when I first tried running the game on my PC, before the service pack.
All I could do was go "aaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! soooooo slowwww!!!!!"
Even on mid to lower graphics it was terrible.

Then I installed service pack 1.

Now I'm running it at pretty much full blast graphics. the scenery settings (scenery and autogen density) cranked up to max, and terrain settings almost as high, as well as highest textures, aircraft, and anti-aliasing. I'm amazed, really. Might have been the addition of dual-core support. O can pull 10-15 frames per second. 20 in some areas. it depends. but it's better than the 0-5 fps that I got before.
