Stu, the anti-Marmite opposite is Marmite.

But as they say, two wrongs don't make a right.

"Anti-Marmite". Is that a leptonic particle? In truth, there is strangeness and beauty. Perhaps marmiteness is the undiscovered property of leptons.

It’s like Spin, only at right angles to the axis. Something like precession for those who cannot visualize in five dimensions.
Also completely lacking Charm.

Terry,
It appears that ******* has a very short half-life. Any idea what the decay products are? Photons, I suppose, If it’s an anti-particle.

Being an Oxford man myself (Keeble), we have are using the particle accelerator here to determine that. So far we have sat watching it for 27 minutes and are still waiting.  I'll let you know if something happens.

Please tell us when to laugh then :P :P :D

That is one of the biggest problems with having subtle humour.

Marmite...

I suspect this above word will be replaced by asterisks... Looks like someone is getting clever.

Now that the leptonic particle has been assigned a new name of *******, we men of Oxford have devised a new symbol for it: *^7.

From this day hence let it be known!

We took a vote, and the common name for it will be "brown gooey stuff". We're still working on the Latin name.

Hello, I noticed that all the posts which have marmite in it have the word crossed out to stars. Why is that?

I suspect that someone "in charge" was worried that the manufacturers of *^7 would take offence when people were saying they didn't like it. Probably he/she/they/it was worried about possible legal consequences.

So they programmed the software for this forum to automatically replace the word with asterisks.

Actually, the entire basis of advertising for *^7 is that people love it or hate it. The TV ads show people running in terror when offered free samples. So I think that changing it to ******* may have been a bit paranoid.

Oh well.

Oh, come on, is it forbidden nowadays to have a bit of humour? The word is unbanned by the way, it took you all long enough to notice it :)

Hi Wout.

Actually, I think people noticed straight away, but they were too polite to say anything.

Now, I'm off to frighten people with a plate of sandwiches. Power-crazed? Me? I'm not bovriled by it at all.

May the marmite be with you.
