HELP!!! Issues downloading

I just finished the long downloading process, now when I click run, it brings me to some pop-up menu for WinRAR. I have absolutely no idea what to do there, I click on the extract button and it just gives me an error message and says on the menu screen the archive is either in unknown format or damaged. This happens every single time no matter which type of file I choose, I've tried about 15 times and am very frustrated at this point. I need help fast, I purchased the Ship Simulator Extreames Collection, and I have Windows 8.

Your WinRar software is likely to be corrupted. Try removing and reinstalling it. Then do a right click on the downloaded game and choose "Extract in <file name's folder>".

If that doesn't work, then you can download alzip or winzip from Download.cnet.com but you have a limit free trail afterwards you have to pay.

Please make sure that you have an antivirus system installed cause some of these might have viruses and spyware.
