Hi,

I noticed a bug on the Ocean Star.

Maybe it was allready a bug on SS2006, but I thought I'd mention it.

There is a spot on the deck where you fall through and land inside the model.

Here's some pictures:

This is the spot:

You can see that corridor there, only, though you can't walk into it, there's an invisible barrier along that whole wall.

But if you walk straight to it, you fall through the deck and land here:

Then you can walkthrough the walls on several spots and you'll be on this deck:

There does not seem to be a way back up to the deck(s) that should be walkable, and as such, I think this spot should not be accesible normally, right?

so there you have it, I don't know if this was a known one allready, if so, sorry.

Nah it isn't a teleport.

As I said, you fall through the deck. So you actually see the fall. You seeyourself passing through a few decks and landing on that lowest one.

I guess the model just has a spot where it isnt solid. I have yet found a few more on others too.

One was really funny. There is a ladder on the bow of the Agile Solution. Not the one that is normally climbed, but next to it. A small ladder. I tried to climb it, and you can only get halfway up. Then a big wave lifted me up and I went OVERBOARD!!

I didnt get a good screenie, just one that showed waves, with nothing else in sight. Not even worth posting. I tried to recreate it to get a shot where you could see the vessel next to me, being in the water. But no luck so far.

I didnt know you could even go overboard in walkthrough mode. Was good for a chuckle

i hope it won't be fixed in a new patch..

but are also the railings and objects on that deck colided?, or can you just walk trough them?

I didnt test all of them, but no, I could not walk through them. Most of the stuff on that deck is solid.

Yes you can, but only if own the 2006 addon and have the license key registered to your profile.

The partial 2008 Addon has been released. The full version that the people that don't own the 2006 version can purchase will be available once it is finished. This free download version is only the ships so far, not the missions yet.

So if you got the 2006 addon, then register your license key and you will get a message in your profile containing the download link and the license key for it.

I don't think you can. Not without having some really good skills anyway. You'd have to remake the whole thing no doubt. On a similar way that VSTEP has done themselves. That's my guess anyway.

Plus, when you install it, it looks for the SS2006 installation and wont recognise the SS2008 install at all I would think. So right "out of the box" it would never work.

The 2008 version of the SS2006 Addon has been released for those of us that own the SS2006 version. Well, partially, it lacks the missions, which will be completed soon. After that, when the pack is complete, those that do not own the SS2006 Addon can purchase it.

On my last long crossing, after a 'few' pints of Stella Artois and a force 9 gale, I'm SURE I fell through a deck or two myself
