The new speedboat turns the wrong way when using engines to steer. In other words, pull back the starboard engine and you'd expect her to turn to starboard, but she goes to port and vice versa.

You are right, but this has already been reported. I can assure you that this error will be corrected in the update.

Hi folks, a couple of things I've found so far.

The Russian Tug Igor K, if she is sailing along flat out and then I pull her back to, say 20% ahead, her speed drops back just about as quickly as the revs do, she doesn't lose way as slowly as I would expect.

Well Stewart, she is a Russian boat, and you know what their Lada cars are like, so what did you expect? My mother swore that she would never be caught dead in a Lada!!!!

Kidding aside, they still haven't fixed the Red Eagle bug when she is going sideways - she's still going up to 0.75knots sideways when it should be around 3kts.

Hi I am new.

Has anybody else noticed this?

When I was driving my huge container ship out of Rotterdam port (after the mission called "loading containers") and out into the sea a weird thing happened... The front of the ship shot up into the air and landed into the ocean and when it landed the back end shot out of the water (which meant that the propeller was sticking out of the water (and that meant that i couldn't go)).

P.S. I was in between the red and green buoys.

Do you think the people forgot to dredge that part of the canal?

Just bought the addon pack. Couldn't wait any longer.
With the ocean star I couldn't see any glass, and the on-screen azipod/steering controls where gone.


Can't see any white water while moving...  (ship is moving 19 knots on this picture)

Also noticed errors at the ship selection screen


I think it will be fixed by the official release

I have exactly the same problem  . However, when I did start the game for the second time the glas was back on the boat. The controls however where still nowhere to be found. I can still get forward by using the keyboard but steering is not done. It just doesn't react to it. It sucks because the ocean star is one of the two ships I've bought te add-on for. Is this problem known at VSTEP?

i had the sme problem and i redownload ss 08 and re installed the patch and add on and evrything was ok.

I've reinstalled ss08 + addon, still same problem. maybe redownload the addon.

Bought it how? it isn't released yet AFAIK.. did you install the SS06 version into SS08 perhaps?

That could explain the partial incompatibility, but I didn't know it was actually possible to do this...

Buy the addon of 2006, register that serial and you get the download voor 2008 with the new serial you got with the registration
