Hello groennegaard,
Stroboscopic effect, I can live with it!
About rudder delays, I saw no Rudder Angle Indicator, so that I looked at the rudder from an outside view, and the rudder seems to turn at a normal pace (ok in manoeuvring mode, perhaps high for steering) should I say, when controlled with the direction keys.
The rate of turn in forward seems adequate, as is its build-up (?). But it looks like too much counter-rudder is needed to bring the rotation to a halt.
When backing, the rudder has far too little effect, if any, and I tried to see if the choice of setting angles below stalling would not improve the effect, with no result.
Steering this ship when backing is uneasy, but far from impossible. Of course, if you struggle against wind or need to turn in the bad direction, things can get worse, but turning backwards is always possible. Problem is of course that it is not always in the direction or at the rate you wished.
Nevertheless, a pleasant ship!
Regards,
Luc
