Hi Mike

The SS08 add-on is only available for those who have SS08 and the SS06 add-on. Later on it will be available for those who just have SS08 and they will have to buy the SS08 add-on from the VSTEP website. There will be an official announcement tomorrow, Tuesday.

Nice shots Ballast!

Do you think it bounces unrealistic? It may take a few seconds from you start a scenario to the vessel settles correctly, but from then on I think the behaviour is very realistic for such a small vessel in 4 m waves...

I don't think the trawler behaves realistic too, it behaves like it almost has no mass.

Well, show me some free oscillations and wave (stopped and underway) data for such a vessel and we will have something to discuss... or else it will just be one person's word against another's...

Hello,
My impression of the roll period and pitch in such a sea is that the rendering is quite correct, so I agree with groennegaard, the movements are realistic enough.
But I can understand that it doesnt fully seem to be realistically rendered for everyone. The trawler still rides "high" on the waves (no fish?, no ice?, no gasoil?) and one sees that there is no wind to push the crests of the waves, giving some eerie aspect to a rather short sea.

I went ahead and bought the add-on for ss2006 and was able to get the ss2008 add-on, so I got 2 add-ons for the price of one.

This is what i mean, i wasnt able to make a good picture but i hope it will do.

Here you see that the stern is out of the water and the bow is in the wave. Sometimes when she climbes a wave she goes completely out of the water with the stern and the bow.

I see what you mean. I'm glad that I'm not on board...

I have tried taking the waves from various angles but anything even close to this never occurred. There seems to be rather large difference between how SS behaves on different systems...

You'll need to enter two license keys:
-SS 2006 add-on
-SS 2008

If you don't see the new key for SS 2008 add-on, then unregister both keys and re-register. Then it should give you the new key and a download link.
