Open ocean voyages
« on: November 08, 2013, 06:44:31 »

I recently purchased ship simulator extremes and have thoroughly enjoyed playing it. The biggest thing I am disappointed in so far is the free roaming I was hoping to be able to go on long voyages. Does anyone one know if this will be added in the future? I know it's not for everyone but I think it should be available for those who would enjoy it after all your able to save in game now.  :captain:

I am afraid that, as far as we are aware, there are no plans to make any further additions to the game. This is not official as we have heard nothing at all lately, but this would appear to be the case.

Traddles, Does that mean the Bulk container crane and the (CCC) environment map will not be coming to SSE or is that still being decided on?

Hi boatsimrocks25,
Your guess is as good as mine as there is no news of any kind being sent out, either to the forum here or to the team of Beta testers and CMMs. So it is just a case of putting the evidence, or in this case lack of evidence, into use.
The fact that frequently I find that I am the only forum member taking part in the forum gives a pretty good idea of the lack of general interest in the game/s of Ship Simulator nowadays. Vstep, the game developers, will be well aware of this and, I should think, will act accordingly. For example, right now and for the last ten minutes at least there is only one user on the forum, me!!!!  Personally speaking, I am very sad at the way things seem to be going, or in fact, not going now!!! :'(

Regards,
Angus.

Historically,  the forum always seems to be at its quietest over the weekend.  You could optimistically believe that people are too busy playing Ship Simulator.

However, conversely you could turn your argument on its head and say that because there is so little coming out of Vstep these days there is nothing new to talk about because its all been said before.  The only new topics posted are from new users needing a hand to get the program running (and once they do, we never hear of them again), and most of the issues have been posted and solved before if they'd  only bother to search.

I also play train simulator (railworks).  They release e a new version every year, there are loads of third party addons and a great variety of downloadable user missions.  But, the rail sim  forum is pants, it is not a patch on this one and has very little content.  So if there is no one here its probably not due to lack of interest in the game.

From reading this, it is sad that there is nothing in the plans of updating or improving anything. That is why that most of the sim users have gone on to bigger and better things. I read that there is one that has train sims and they upgrade or add something new every year. Have had SSE for several years and the only thing that has been added were a few DLC and missions. Anything to make it better or more realistic, nothing.
I really enjoy the multiplayer but there are no barges to that you can load or unload, i like river sims and I also have FSX and Train sims... I am a kind of hands on type of guy and like to sail....
Well said my peace here...
