i have found out something very funny :listening at your favoriye songs in the ship without downloading any software only downloading your favorite songs
follow my steps
1)go to the installed posotion like"c://program files/vstep/ship sim 2008/"
or where you have installed the game
2)go to "/data/"
3)then find a folder named "radio"
4)remove these files and copy and paste your songs BUT IN .MP3 FORMAT NO .OGG
then open ship simulator 2008 and wait the you will hear the songs you have pasted and not the ship radio!!!:D

if  anyone dont know how to download songs follow these steps
INPORTANT:YOU WILL NOT DOWNLOAD ANY PROGRAM!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
1)open youtube.com
2)search on google "youtube to mp3"
open the "YouTube to mp3 Converter"
3)ok now go to youtube and find the video-song you want to download
open it and copy and paste the URL at the youtube to mp3
4)type "convert video"
wait a little amd then type "download"
you are ok it works 100% i have tested it
p.s:if a video at the description writes:"all rights reserved" DONT DOWNLOAD IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
p.s.2:pls write if it works!!!!
if it works with your pc s i will be very happy

I think that modding ShipSimulator is not allowed. You could better run a media player like WinAmp while you are sailing with SS08.

Actually, putting your own music, or radio traffic recordings, into the game's radio folder is something we don't make a fuss about.

As long as it's simply adding some music or other sound files and not actually going into game files and altering things that are not supposed to be altered, we'll look the other way.

Removing any files from that folder means that you'll have install the game again if you want to revert though, so the only tip I'd add would be to back those files up instead of deleting them, if you ever want to have them back but without the need for a fresh install, but other than that there's no problem with this.

In fact, many people have done this in the past. But thank you for sharing this anyway, XxEMPxX.

Obviously, downloading copyright protected music is another thing, it's usually not permitted, but that has nothing to do with Shipsim as such of course.

Regards,
Fred
