Simulators
« on: June 18, 2013, 02:26:22 »

It's about simulators..

Yesterday I stumbled upon this unusual one:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofr34vk5O8I

If you know any strange or interesting simulators, let us hear about it
 (preferably with a video)  :)

Do tycoons also count?

If not, I'm going for this one:

With all the effort I'm taking to prepare a decent production for a game, these 'simulators' pop up like ants. Is there some evil company that mass-produces these sims for a reason humanity cannot understand? :P

SSE is the only simulator I use. As a truck driver now, I'm not going to use another. Sometimes, the way I see it, which even the creator of such simulators can not imagine. :)

Next to ShipSim I played Flight Simulator in the past. And if the Maxis games count SimCity 3000! not forgetting the Sims itself.

I recently spent a week on an anchor handling simulator very similar to (but IMHO better than) this one.

In the weekend from 20 to 23 June I was in Den Helder during the Navy Days of the Dutch Royal Navy. I visited a simulator with a navigation bridge of an LCF frigate. This simulator is much more real life than ShipSim is. It has a view of 360 degrees and it feels like the ship is rolling and pitching in real life. In the simulator we sailed from the naval harbour to the Marsdiep between Texel and Den Helder. In the harbour I had a good view on the Landing Platform Dock HNLMS Rotterdam L800. Meanwhile the weather got worse with a gale and high waves.

I play Virtual Sailor...It's a simulator game with which I can sail with different ships to different places...There are boat and scenery add-ons for this game. I prefer sailing with greek ships in Aegean Sea :captain:
