I out my cd key on my profile key, how do I download the game now?

Where did you purchase this game?
Any official purchase must always combine the key with download. I haven't heard of key-only purchases unless it's on Steam. But that is self explanatory.

I did some quick digging in the Customer Support mailbox and found a recent help ticket which already included your answer. Though I never received any response from you.
You do happen to own the Steam version of the game.
The game automatically downloads to your Steam account after the purchase has been made or key has been added to your Steam account.
You cannot bypass Steam. And Steam keys do not work on non-Steam versions of the game.
