Elbe and Furie Edition
« on: October 10, 2007, 21:21:14 »

In the Shipping News of Piet Sinke I spotted the addon pack for 2008 "Elbe and Furie" Edition to raise money for those beautiful classic tugs (the articel said Vstep sponsored the game). It is for sale on http://www.zeesleperelbe.nl sadly the website is only in dutch.
It is for sale since 8 october for 15 euro. I haven't tried it yet, but I will order it soon.

Did anyone tried it already?

Pardon the digression, but this post reminded me:
Does anyone know if the TV series Holland’s Glorie was ever released on DVD?
Failing that, an NTSC conversion of a videotape. (I can handle PAL DVD but not tape.)
Thanks

Alex those ships will be awesome but I didn't think the add-on was finished yet. If it were surely we'd see it on the Shipsim website? Is that Dutch page just for pre-orders?

Greetings,
Yes,this is a page, that you can order this amazing add-on.
However i think that Vstep will help us to,to order it direct by them.Specialy for the members they live in the U.S. and New Zeeland, poeple who live far from Holland.

To mvsmith,
I can start looking for the dvd's of Holland's glory,if you want.
Here in Belgium, they started also to bring out,old programs on dvd,as before they were also on videotape.
Maybe this website of the Elbe and Furie, can help to.Because they used one the vessels in that series.
You can try that first.
This is just an idea, let me know.

In that case VSTEP please hurry up and make it available, a download version would be great.

And thanks for the heads-up Alex!

The thing is that Vstep made it for sponsership to raise money for those tugs and other classic ships. Maybe Vstep will not even sell it on their own site. Just wait for their response I guess..

But ... okey. Cool... So you can use this stuff with Ship Simulator 2008? :o
Does it mean that we can see the ships in the game after installation?

This sounds like a 3rd add-on pack to me ;D

Please note that this version is only for sale on this website and only suitable for the Dutch version of Ship Simulator.

All profits made with the sale of this Add-On goes to the organisation which is maintaining these two ships.

In January we will create a multi language version of this Add-On and also sell it from our own website.

Greetings Shipaddict,
Well, thats the only pics(small ones) that are available. There is nothing more to find.
We can only hope that some members take some extra screenshots,so that we can see how it looks.
