Thom's WIP
« on: November 23, 2012, 23:11:12 »

Recently I started with drawing a container feeder in Google Sketchup.

It is based on an J.J. Sietas style container feeder and will have a length overall of 120 meters, it will be able to carry up to 658 Tue's

Currently there hasn't been much progress on this ship yet, just added some minor details. Also i started working on some new ships as seen below.

the first two pictures are from a yacht which will have a length of about 30 meters.

the next two pictures are from the engine for the containerfeeder, i am currently not that happy about the design of the engine and will probably do a lot of adjusting on it.

Last picture is from the progress of the accomodation of the containerfeeder, as you can see there hasnt been much work done yet... apparently i have to much hobby's and too less time

Thom

And some more pictures of a small boat, and a helicopter ( to be used on a ship ofcourse  ;D ) which i made on request. and which ( also ) still need a lot of work.

Great work.

I may be wrong but doesn't his belong in non-shipsim projects?

Hmm, good point but as I don't know how to move this topic and no moderaters commented yet I think i will leave it here. As long as it isn't a problem ofcourse!

Also i dit a bit op designing again. This time i started making the hull as this is in my opinion the hardest part of a vessel. Currently i am not to happy about the shape of the Bulb so critiscm and opinions are always welcome  :D

Well hope you like it!

Regards,

Thom

What type of ship is it, for a cruise or ferry that looks about right.
