Im Not a person thats into war but it think these magnificent revolutionary Ships should be in SSE it would definately give SSE the Second wave of Interest it needs. The Arleigh Burke destroyer is a US Naval Vessel that has done alot in the Maritime world Im not saying to make the Vrt. Launchers or 15 inch Shootable. I would just love to see this Vessel in the game i know that Vstep has a Model they can use because it is in Nautis. I think that SSE would benefit from this add On so from this day on i would like to start a campaign just as those here before us did prior to the release of SSE with the Dover in Calias Campaign and what happned? Vstep listened i believe that they care for the fanbase but as of now i think they dont realize we are still here i remember the first time i heard SSE was coming out VSTEP was working hard to get this game out and they did! They did not disappoint Great Job VSTEP now lets do it again! This is Ship Simulator Extremes lets give it another kick.

Look at this Beautiful Model from NAUTIS (Ship Sim Proffesional)

Im Not asking for NAUTIS Features like Replenisment at Sea Only the Destroyer

Believe me, don't expect any war vessels to be in SSE any time soon. SSE was designed for peaceful purposes, with some military ships as the USCG Cutter and some others as an exception. Why do you think there are 3 GreenPeace ships in it?  :P
I find the Arleigh-Burke class also an interesting ship to be put in SSE, but I guess it's just too hard to put it in. VSTEP also has to ask permission to the original designer of a certain ship before putting it in a game and when you see little kids loving to ram ships like these war vessels (on youtube), then don't expect it to be put in SSE. Neither I even think anyone would give permission because when a war vessel is added, it could be used for terrorist purposes.

Conclusion, the answer is simply no, unfortunately. :-\    But, VSTEP keeps surprising us....

.
.
.

Oh, and if you concider purchasing NAUTIS which has all these playable war vessels in it, it will cost you €3000,- I think, if it's worth to you...

Ok I have several points for you:

1. If Vstep sees there is interest in a certain item hey aren't going to ignore itthats why I have started this campaign and like a true prosuer I'm not going to give up tell the big man or woman says no

2. I said that like the coast guard vessel none of the weapons will be functional.

3. I have never seen a video of kids ramming warships into each other from the ship sim series please do educate me on this horrible epidemic ::) let kids be stupid and ignorant we are not why should we be deprived of something that we want when we have done nothing wrong!

4. VSTEP has permission of the modeler to put it in NAUTIS therefore they should have the rights to put it in SSE, in other rules 3d modeling websites such as turbo squid allows the models purchased to be placed in games that are distributed to the public as long as they are put into the game in a way where the model cannot be reverse engineered or extracted

5. Terrorist really??? If that was the fear then flight simulator would have been taken off the shelf ling before fsx, fs2004 and flight... The USS Cole bombing was over a decade ago I highly doubt somebody is going to use a public retail simulator for this reason anyway I hate even talking about this subject so I'm going to move on

6. Greenpeace is an enviournmental conservation group not a anti war group they are against nukes but everyone really is greenpeace doesn't relate to this.

7. Peaceful purposes again I don't want the guns to be useable this is a simulator not a naval tactical game, the coast guard was incorporated peacefully we can aswell with the Arleigh Burke.

Sincerely,

Purely as a matter of interest, what is official about this particular subject, least of all with capital letters. ??? SSE is a simulator of merchant shipping only, the coastguard vessels are included as they serve in a seach and rescue manner, not in their naval capacity. The static and AI naval vessels are simply present in a decorative manner, somewhat similar to peacetime reality!!! :P :-X

I once loved to put "Official" in front of anything I made. Just because... well.. it looked official.
But you can only state something as "official" if all of the involving parties agree and participate.
In this case I doubt V-step and the US naval forces are involved  ;)

Though it is possible to place warships in SSE, but only under the condition of being fictional (getting permission is not likely to happen for original design plans) So far, no one has ever created a SSE worthy battleship with it's own name and design.

But I believe V-step prefers piecefull above warfare like VirtualSkipper mentioned.

Lol sorry didn't realize that Vstep need to be involved for this topic well mods can fill free to change it I jut wanted it so it looks like we are actually being serious about making a campaign.

I already understand these vessels are in as static but I wouldn't be making this campaign if they where playable

I'm not a warhawk or anything like that I just love the design of these vessels I get it peaceful you can stop mentioning that now I did not ask Vstep to produce a whole set of mission based on war it can be one of the ships that dont have missions and if your that dead set against it don't by it.

All I have read so far is disappointment with the game that it is not extreme I don't like hearing that I anticipated this game to be a huge hit. So far it's struggling to get the ratings it deserves!

Extreme means pushing the boundaries to do something most people wouldn't do this is what SSE needs something that has never been done before not a common cargo transport ship that we have seen multiple of but a ship so bold it makes people say wow that's an amazing work of art.

I, For once support this idea, Warships arent only used for Fighting, they are also used for Humanitarian (did i spell that right? i think so) Aid, Patrolling, and in some occasions escorting. These 3 things i just named, Could be used for a campaign. If v-step Decides to ever implement ''Warships'' I ask them to Include a Armidale Class Patrol boat (:D).

Whilst I agree that a warship of some description would be nice in SSE, I don't think the Arleigh Burke class destroyer is the right ship.

Personally I think the HNLMS ZEELAND Would be a much better choice. Its different from the cutter (whereas the AB is basically a cutter with a different skin). The Zeeland also has a completely different tasking than the cutter, whereas the AB and the cutter basically carry out the same duties.

The arleigh burke  destroyer is definately not a cutter they are an upgraded hull style of the cruisers  i think that the ship you think should be in tge game aswell it could pozssibky like the ferry pack be a naval pack

I agree humanitarian issues could be a good campaign with the  AB

Navy ships are very suitable for playing in humanitarian missions, counter piracy missions (like the one near Somalia), evacuations and other peaceful missions.

And security. If this ship is added, they should also add a few mid-eastern ports, like in the Gulf Coast, so you can provide security for passing VLCCs.

Very True. the US Navy doesnt only go to war they have been helping with anti piracy, as well as search and rescue along with the coast guard the AB would be a good thing to implememnt into the game just as they do have with Nautis because VSTEP did put out a video with a Naval Vessel in the game inplying that the ship was going to be playable.

VSTEP will make more money on a Naval Pack aswell as have satisified customers! The People whoare saying that they dont want it in the game dont have to buy the addon. If there is a ship they want then mention it dont shoot down other peoples ideas because your not doing something about the ship you would like!

Didn't you make any backup of the file you worked with? I'd like to see the drawing of HNLMS Rotterdam L800 when you have finished it.

I already took SSE off my Hdd and bought FSX. I bought this the day after FSX arrived, and by the way its drivable and completely interactive.

Maybe you should get a bigger HDD then you could fit SSE AND FSX on it at the same time.  :P

You may have a point. The real problem is I have a game called rfactor that is a real cancer. It just keeps growing! But I'll put SSE back out there eventually.
