Unable to Start
« on: August 10, 2012, 02:47:55 »

Suspect that the computer is too old, graphics card not up to specs...

Could you please confirm -- dxdiag attached...

If so, would any of the ShipSim products work?  This is our only Windows machine.  Are any of them made for MAC?

Thanks

Hi jga620,
If you follow the link below and scroll down, you will see that most modern games are not playable with the Intel graphics processor that you have in your notebook.

http://www.notebookcheck.net/Intel-Graphics-Media-Accelerator-4500MHD-GMA-X4500MHD.9883.0.html

I don't think that this would stop the game from starting but coupled with the Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU it probably would not start as Ship Simulator Extremes is very processor hungry.

On the SS 2008 board there is some discussion about using a Mac to run SS 2008 in bootcamp, here is a link to one of them.

http://80.95.161.114/shipsim/forum/index.php/topic,25434.0.html

You will not be able to follow the link unless you have registered a SS2008 key in your profile on this site.
The reason for this is all about not helping people with pirated copies of the game, which unfortunately means that I can't help you much more here. If you register your SS Extremes key then you could get help in Technical Support here.

Regards, Dave
