It could be a good idea so that VSTEP could make a little more profit...  ;)

then it wouldn't be to hard to make them for commercial profit?

BTW: I think this is a great idea! A line of t-shirts (and sweatshirts/hoodies?) is great for increasing profit for Vstep.

Plus it could have your favorite ship in the game on it. Picture this: your forum name in the bold stenciled letters in SSE, with, for example, the Esperanza cruising through Bora Bora or the Latitude moving through a massive storm with Ship Simulator Extremes written in the same stenciled letters on the bottom.

I could have sworn swenson started a thread about merchandise, but (like most things at Vstep) nothing happened...

Would you please register your game/games. Your profile shows that you have not registered ANY game at all, that being the case, I do not understand your being here on the forum. ???

Each time I try to buy the game, VSTEP fails to activate registration. I keep receiving mails telling me my account is activated but ... So, if I can't buy it I can't register it. My account on this forum was activated manually by a moderator, the automatic one having failed.

As long as we're talking about merchandise, I had this idea in the "SSE Merchandise?" topic:

Quote
i hav an idea! what if revell had a line of sse models. models of all the ships in the scales 1:500 and 1:1200. and what about lego having a line of sse ship models?

could this work? building and collecting models is a great hobby and it could really sell.

Hi
Like everything else it comes down to being cost effective and I do not think
it was found to be so.
Yes I think some would buy but in the end not enough would be happy paying
shipping costs.
This is Just my thought on subject.

Yes, but the t-shirt will come with only one sleeve (the other will be delivered in patch 1.1).

The t-shirt will shrink in the wash- but hell, it's a new line for them and you can't expect them to make them to the same standard as microsoft t-shirts. After all, microsoft has been making t-shirts for years.

If you do take the risk and wash your t-shirt it MUST be in a top of the range washing machine (portable washing machines are unlikely to work).

The t-shirt will look really impressive on the box, but the contents may disappoint substantially.

However, in credit to vstep tshirts, they will undoubtedly have some flashy graphics on the front even if they don't actually fit or do what they were supposed to.

Ultimately, after several sewing repair jobs (freebie patches from vstep textiles) and you are sort of happyish, vstep will announce a new breakthrough design in tshirts- but not for 2 years and then probably another 2 years after that.

Can I get a job with vstep marketing dept.?

PS a version of the t-shirt which does what you should expect from a tshirt IS available, but it's £2,000... and the cheap tshirt can't be made to work just in case it upsets those who did in fact pay the £2000

Hi 18allenbrayden

i think you should ask V-Step before you go to production of those t-shirts, remember they have the copy right of name, game and the ships, so send them a pm.
you can send a pm to Swenson  http://80.95.161.114/shipsim/forum/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=56831

han i'm sure he will take it to the right person

Yes, but the downloadable washing machine will not be compatible with this build of t-shirts and thus will only be usable with a future version of the t-shirt. Rendering it pretty pointless. No doubt though that the t-shirt washing machines development team will ponder endlessly why no one actually bothers to buy the washing machine dlc
