If this were in the game then... oh, what the heck! ;D

Top of personal wishlist: Great Lakes Super-freightor!

Specific ships:

Mesabi Miner
Paul R. Tregurtha (first pic)
American Century
Edwin H. Gott (second pic)

But if one was in the game, then the great lakes would have to be modeled too, or at least some locations like:

Duluth, MN
Two Harbors, MN
Whitefish Bay, Lake Superior
Straights of Mackinac, MI
Chicago, IL
Milwaukee, WI
Saginaw, MI
Cleveland, OH
Sioux Locks

But then that would call for a Great Lakes DLC, and that needs more ships:

Super Freighter (see list farther up)
Arthur M. Anderson (straight deck freighter)
Vista Star (excursion ship)
M/S Columbus (medium sized cruise ship)
Alder (USCG icebreaker)
SS Badger (long-distance lake ferry)
Esmeralda (1960's Chris Craft Cruiser yacht)
Blue Heron (research ship)
Great Lakes Trader (barge)
Grain ship

Well looking out of the window I can see the Stena Europe in port from my farm on the other side of the bay (she's early for a change, thought I'll never see that ) so the ship on my mind is of corse Stena Europe

Try to contact STENA and persuade them to sponsor one of their ships! Guess that's the only way to make your wish come true. Oh, and not forget to mention, that they have to pay an amount comparable to an upper middle-class car... ::)

Hah, new ships for SSE..... easier said than done.  :P

Modelling to perfect detail, interiorwork: 2-5 months or so.
Adding models for collision, to walk on, steering, propulsion, waterdynamics, etc.: 1-3 months or so.
Final touches to make it suitable and just right for SSE: 2 months or so.

so that means: max time= 10 months
                     min time= 5 months

so a little under a year? that's hardly any time at all! ;D

has VSTEP even tried?

may be... they could be working on a small cruise ship right now. it could be one of their "secret DLCs" that they announced back in May.

I think I better correct that...
Modelling to perfect detail, interiorwork: 1 week to a month
Adding models for collision, to walk on, steering, propulsion, waterdynamics, etc.: less than a week
Final touches to make it suitable and just right for SSE: 2 weeks to a month.

What about the Diamond 70 yacht? It puts all other yachts to shame, and if she were in SSE, there could be a whole panel of switches so we could fold out all the platforms and whatnot!

Queen Mary 2 would perfect for SSE! Most of the settings in the game are her ports of call.

Walkthrough could include lifeboat decks, aft terracing, pool with skylight, at least one cabin, and the atrium, kind of like Oceana.

Mission idea (based after the real voyage in the documentary "Inside the Queen Mary 2"): Start in New York, but before departure, a passenger has a heart attack and must be brought off the ship. Since you are late for departure, you must race the clock to get out of the harbor before the tide rises to the point where you can't exit. After leaving NYC in the nick of time, you encounter a large storm in the Atlantic ocean. After that, you must find your way through a crowded, foggy English Channel. Then use the bow thrusters to dock in Southampton.

Also the game model could include working stabilizers, Cunard flag, and a realistic two-toned horn.

If only people listened to peoples ideas! Its the peoples ideas that make things better. You can't make a game without listening to the audience, someone needs to see if Cunard would let them do it!!

...and that's the only thing in the way.

Cunard might not let the QM2 be made into a DLC because they don't want their ships on youtube sinking with a title like "TIT8NIK LOL".
