P&O cruises 175th anniversary
« on: July 04, 2012, 19:16:37 »

Yesterday was P&O Cruises 175th anniversary, to celebrate all seven of their cruise ships called at Southampton at the same time. They then left in the evening in a line in a spectacular event.
Gareth Edwards(A member of this Forum) came down to watch the event and was on a Red Eagle special cruise which went to greet the ships and to tour them while in dock, unfortunately it was a bit early for me so I decided on not going however he did get many pics.

Here are a selection of shots, all of them are available here (http://s832.photobucket.com/albums/zz249/AlexRalph/Cars/175th/).

These are not my pictures, they are Gareth's

They were also giving Bridge tours so there are some pictures of the bridge.

We then watched the evening departing however it was raining with low visibility

Great set of pics - shame the weather was so foul :/

Wonder if VSTEP will give us a more realistic bridge on the Red Eagle now...

The little bunker alongside the Ventura; a good friend of mine from college is a cadet on there. It's a small world ;D...
