Hi everyone,

It's not an exciting title only, i realy have a miserable story in a attempt to install and run the game with no avail!!!

I bought the original - Ship simulator extremes - game from Amazon, then i have begun the installation process and i have been asked to Create an account in Steam, This has happened already occurred.

Then i update the game frome the steam and activate my copy via provide thr product key of my copy and compelet the proces of installation.

The problem is that i make over that 100 try to launch the game with no avail, each time i try to run the game it appear the logo of VSTEP with moving arrow and last for long time where i have to restart the computer.

I installed all necessary programs, and attched here the DxDiag of my computer.

No panic, in this forum isn't so much traffic, sometimes you need to wait for an answer a little bit. 

At first, i don't know, if your Processor is fast enough for the game.

Second: Have you look the other troubleshooting post? You find many post with solutions.

You can check with steam your game.

I am sorry to tell you that your Video card (NVidia GeForce 210) is not powerful enough to play SSE. The minimum requirements are listed on the VSTEP website.

You will note that the GeForce 8800GT is rated at 949 which is very, very, much higher than the 210 at 208. You should ALWAYS check these things before purchase.

Ok try this: Go to Program Files(86x), open the  to steam folder .Then goto the steamapps folder and go to common. Then go to ship simulator extremes and go to resources and then to redist and run in that folder : dxwebsetup   PhysX_9.10.0129_SystemSoftware       vcredist       this helped me!

Something else that may be worth trying is disabling the Steam Overlay. This may or may not help, but worth a shot. Open Steam and go to your Library page, then right-click on the listing for Ship Simulator Extremes and choose 'Properties'. In the dialog box that opens, on the 'General' tab, make sure 'Enable Steam Community In-Game' is not checked, then try to run the game again.



But i think,. if the game runs, your PC is too slow for the game. Hope i am wrong.

The processor is just about OK, but your real problem is your video card. It is just not suitable for playing SSE. It does not matter what other members are saying they do not seem able to understand my previous post. At a rating of only 208 it is far to low to play the game.

O.K., the processor is fast enough, so HaithamElshazly need only a new video card. Thats not so expensive. 

Then i stop now, don't want misunderstand Traddles again.

As explained before, a videocard below the specifications doesn't mean it will crash. In fact I managed to run SSE fine on a videocard that was way below the minimum specifications, even two whole series below the minimum requirements. As long as you set the quality of the ocean to the lowest setting and didn't care about low framerates, the game worked fine. Also setting the screen resolution lower allows SSE to run on slower videocards, as the amount of video processing power really depends on the number of pixels to be rendered.

Low frame rates are the best you will have with a videocard below the required minimum specs. But SSE does crash with such a low-end videocard, especially in heavy demanding environments like Calais-Dover.
