Controversial whaling started again
« on: May 01, 2012, 17:38:15 »

OSLO-the controversial whaling has started again. Norwegian fishermen have three whales shot this weekend in the Barents Sea.

According to the Organisation for protection of whales and dolphins also picked Icelandic whalers their first catch of the season this weekend.

Despite heavy international criticism on Norway, Japan and Iceland hunt whales. The Scandinavian countries argue that the minke whale, the type where they hunt, no endangered species. Japan claims whales for scientific reasons to catch

For now I think that the economy is a bit more important than to give about these organisations which would rather live their whole life on cabbage and water. I mean, at least 2 species of animals gets exterminated every few years, so what difference will whales make? Sure, the food chain will be distorted but eventually there will be a solution found to that anyways.  ::)

Organisations like GreenPeace: a bunch of idiots which I haven't seen anything do more than putting sacks over their heads and block railroads. All a big interference for having the human race to get a better life. No one is stopping them to probably put an end to whaling because that simply WON'T happen!

And your basis for that ludicrous statement is....?

X people in Netherlands get killed each year. Would you apply the same attitude to your own life? Hell, if X people get bumped off in Netherlands, what does it matter if vs is one more in the statistics?

There won't be a "solution found". Nature adapts- sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse. Personally I wouldn't want to get involved in the rights and wrongs of hunting; but hunting to extinction is inexcusable and only a very stupid person would support willful extinction.

Yes a solution has been found. Its called Mass extinction. Its basically where earth can no longer support life, so everything, including humans, Die.

I sometimes wonder if it'd be better for humans to become extinct and a more worthy species to evolve in its place... then I come on here and think about it- yup, I'm right.

Danny, you're wasting your breath on some people. If they don't see the dangers of extinction of whole species "cos it happens anyway" then you're onto a loser with it
