Installation path error on SSE

I have Ship Simulator Extremes on my Asus laptop which has up until now been working fine. I now run Steam in the Offline mode but I keep getting the following error: " A channel that is needed for this profect was not found in the installation path: 145D3B82-FDC2-4925-A66B-7DCFFF022A97.
I have no idea what this means or what to try to just get the game working again.
Please can anyone help....

No guarantee that this will help but probably worth going online on Steam and verifying the game cache...this will check to see if any files are missing and automatically download any that are....I have fixed many issues on Steam games this way so worth a try.
