Over the last year I made quite a number of photo's in the port of Rotterdam, featuring several ships well known from Ship Simulator, as well as landmarks. But also some spots that are not featured in the game. It would be nice if someone can try to reproduce these pictures in the game, to see how close to the real thing it is (or not is, I haven't done this comparison yet so I can't tell).
The most common ships around here, you will likely see one of these every time you visit.Bigger passenger ships don't come to the city centre that often, but once in a while they do.The bridges.A demonstration by the pilots last year.A new bridge recently constructed in the Rijnhaven, not yet in ship simulator.Another watertaxi, and a bus thinking it is a watertaxi. Some of the older harbours in the city centre. And the more recent harbours more away from the city centre. Not a ship, but the VSTEP HQ containing the bad-ass Nautis class A simulator (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1_cKoM_G_Y) that would get most here just as exited. And there might also be a copy of the new bulk crane simulator (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k2b4mEhHW80) around there (start your add-on rumours below this line).A couple of blocks from VSTEP HQ there are two more places that is not in shipsim, probably as only the rowboat fits there. Might be good to add for the rowboat add-on though And of course you can't have Rotterdam without the river that named it, the Rotte. This picture was taken within the border of Rotterdam, although it was about 10 meters from this border.
