Protector RHIB - Why is it slower than Protector?
« on: March 20, 2012, 19:58:17 »

I've noticed that the RHIB on Protector has a top speed of about 24 knots while RHIBs on other ship are about 20 knots faster. For a vessel intended to investigate and catch criminals the speed seems woefully inadequate. Is there any way to change the top speed or do we have to wait for a patch?

Hello,
This RHIB reaches 35 kn, and that remained unchanged through the last patches/DLCs.
Please check if you have the correct file, it should be 4438 bytes long.
Default path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Vstep\ShipSimExtremes\Projects\ShipSimExtremes\Data\Entities\Dynamics\GreenpeaceRIB.act

Hi Art,
In my game the Greenpeace RIB (As fitted to "Protector") travels at a maximum speed in calm water of 35 knots.
"Protector" herself travels at 25.6 knots in the same conditions. ??? Just as a matter of interest, when you click on the symbol to deploy the RIB, does it show as "Greenpeace RIB"? Other than this I can see no reason why you have this problem. However, if you can take the attached file and place it as Luc shows, it will overwrite the file you have with the correct one as described by Luc.  If you are unsure of how to do this I would advise that you leave well alone!!

Regards,
Traddles.

Thanks everyone for your input. The file from Luc works perfectly and the RHIB is working like it should.

Maybe it's related but.

Why the Inferno A( The one on the Cutter) Goes up to 24 knots, while the Inferno B (the one on the Ocean star) goes over 35 knots?
