Newbie to Extremes needs help getting started.
« on: March 17, 2012, 15:35:51 »

Hi all

Just upgraded to Extremes from SS2008 and all I seem to be getting is Steam.  There seems to be no link to Extremes.  I am not interested in these other games they are trying to flog.

Am I doing something wrong?  I have loaded twice but still can find no referenc or link to SS Extremes.

Please help.

Thanks

Hi all

Well, seems like it is sorted.  I had to enter the Activation Code into Steam and now I am downloading from where?  Seems a strange way of doing things and I am not happy with the lack of readable instructions.  The text is far too small

A simple way to zoom in is to hold down the Ctrl key while using the + key..To return to normal use Ctrl -
(instead of the + and - keys, you can also use your mouse scrollwheel..  ;)

Well, come to the conclusion that this CD is faulty, so sending it back to Amazon.  Hopefully, I will get a replacement later today.

Everything took an age to load and when it was finished, a lot of the graphics were missing.  The helm was missing, along with the throttles, sea and ship itself.  I could hear the engines too.

Thanks to Saltydog for your suggestion.
