Hello Dezda,

In a reply to your previous post, me and another Moderator had encouraged you to register the License Key of your legal copy of SS 2008. It can be clearly seen that you have still not done it. We will offer whatever assistance that is possible after you complete the registration process.

Please understand that you will be registering your License Key in your Profile in this Forum. We have thousands of members who have registered their keys here and there has been no complaints of abuse. Once you register your key, you will have access to many boards of the Forum and you will be able to conduct a search and get answers for your doubts. With your present attitude, it gives rise to doubts from us as to whether you have a LEGAL copy of SS2008.

Hi TFM,

He has been banned for two weeks for sassing a moderator and being an ass.
It is pretty clear that he has no legal copy of SS2008. He made reference to a “friend’s” key, which he is probably using—although there are perhaps thousands of different keys that will generate the correct checksum and unlock the game for playing.

I’m sure that if Vinod wanted to call him a liar, he would have spelt it correctly.

Regards,
Marty

If you have, in fact, purchased a legal copy of SS2008, then you have been provided with a unique serial key—either on-line or in the box.
All you have to do is enter it accurately into that one box in your forum profile. If that key is found, upon checking, to be a valid key that has not been previously registered by someone else, then you are granted access to the privileges of a legitimate user.

I will admit after reading many semi-literate posts of juveniles—of whatever age—that the simple task described above may beyond your capability, nevertheless it is necessary because pirated copies are readily available from many sources.

The only real incentive to pay for the game is the offer of access to multi-play, mission downloads, and technical help to registered users. And God knows you really need that last item. I sometimes wonder if all those bugs are part of an anti-piracy measure.

No I had not gotten any protection programs for the website. It had been on the web for a year and I never got any reports of hackers so I just cancled the program because it was really expensive. Then a week went by and the hole website was screwed up    :P  >:(
