3D
« on: January 01, 2012, 22:31:40 »

Hello
I'm french and so,  I don't speak and understand very well... ;)

I have now a 3D screen with glasses and a GTX550, and that is very good  :2thumbs:

So I was very hungry to try SSE. But SSE don't wants to keep the 120hz, and when it can with low resolutions, that's the same, no 3D   ???

Then I tried SS8. And there, it's ok. It's very good! I can say you that traveling on the ships in 3D, that is realy marvelous    :2thumbs:

many others games are runing very well in 3D on my computer, and it is a real pleasure

so, why doesn't it works with SSE ???  :-\
(it has the last upgrade of course  ;) )

thanks....
(and happy new year !!! )

!!!
are you sure ?
SS8 runs very well in 3D stereo and SSE, more recent, couldn't ????
it's a shame..

Is there someone of VSTEP who could confirm your answer ?

Strangely enough I think it might be your computer...no suprise there

SSE is a high spec'ed game and uses alot of graphics power, to create the 3D image it requires the GPU to produce the image twice. With SSE using so much GPU power already it then struggles to produce the 3D image at 120Hz that is required to see the 3D without it flickering.

I'm pretty sure that is your problem.
You could possibly try using gamebooster or stop other processes, not sure if that would help.

Hope this helps

I have an I5 750 with 4Go Ram, 64bits, 6Go for exchange on the DD, a good mother board and a GTX550ti
the test from "panneau de configuration" say an performance indice of 7,3 on a scale from 1,0 to 7,9

do you think that's too light for SSE 3D ?
I just want to add that it doesn't work even in 1024x768 120hz....

thank you veru much for your answer and your help

Well it's SSE's fault aswell I think, it requires to much from the machine and putting it into 3d just pushes it over the edge to where it starts to struggle.

Just out of curiosity how are you converting it into 3D? Have you tried http://www.iz3d.com/ I can use it for several games and it has many different ways to show 3D, possibly it will work better using this?

I tried running 3d, and it was great. However, my framerate is low already, and 3d cuts that in half, so the game was slow and choppy at times.

My 3d setup was simple red/cyan anaglyph glasses, using TriDef 3D Ignition. See http://www.ddd.com/tridef-products/tridef-experience/

no I have nothing to convert, I just use the N'Vidia drivers. I didn't know that we can use converters.
But why do I have to pay for using SSE ?
SS8, FSX, SBK and so on, all are free
could VStep add an update for SSE, please ?
