I included a couple of addon packs with Ship Simulator Extremes...

How can I confirm they installed correctly?
Ship Simulator Extremes Cargo Vessel DLC
Ship Simulator Extremes Harbor Pilot DLC

Hello, and welcome to the forum

If have you have installed them, you should see the ship in the shiplist when you want to sail free-roam.
Also with the Harbor Pilot DLC you should see missions at the campaign under pilot. And with the cargo vessel you should see 3 mission in the missionlist.

But why do you ask? Do you got any sort of problem with them??

No I don't have any problems.
I installed the main sim and then each add on one after the other.
I guess I am so new to the sim that I didn't know what to look for.

Oh ok. But I find it hard to believe that the installation will be wrong.
So if you just look in the SSE you would find them.
However I want to point out that with multiplayer that not in every server you will be able to choice the ships. If you look in the multiplayer server list you will see behind the name for example [Ferry],[sigita]. That means that you need that addon will you be able to join that server. With the harbor pilot ship(aquila) is available for everyone so that is not a problem with the servers. But with the Cargo vessel you need to buy it, if you want to sail it. So for that you need to join the right servers.
But if you just take some time you should be able to find everything. And otherwise I be happy to assist

Hello Dave,

If you wish see the list of ships that have been included in SSE, please see the attachment below. All add on ships will also show up in this list of folders. Follow the path as shown.
