Boat names
« on: May 20, 2007, 23:14:53 »

If you had a boat and you could name it, what would you name it? Notice: For those who own a boat, just say if you could give it a different name.

Sam, I can give you ideas. Possibly you can name it after a special person you encounted in your life or a great person you like in history.

Greetings Sam,
When i was young,i use the own also a very small open sailboat(varien type),so i named her QE2.
It was maybe a small boat, atleast this name represent a big vessel.
However,it al comes to what you want, maybe you have a historical person in mind,or maybe you like a country where you was on holiday.
You can also put a funny name on that boat of yours.
So we can give you maybe idea's,but it's all up to you.
Regards
Marc

I have a "Mirror" sailing dinghy called "Nordkapp" after North Cape in Norway. I used to own a 26ft motor cruiser called "Arctic Skua". as you can see, I like Nordic names. The fishing boat in the add on named "North Star" has a nice appeal too. ::)

I do aswell but I will always have my way of changing it into my own, eg.

Stena Line= Small Line
DFDS Seaways= KDSS Seaways
P&O= K&S

I think though if I were to name the following vessel types, their names would be:

Ocean Liner: Leviathan
Mega-yacht: Triton
Tanker/Container: World Carrier
Ferry Line: Elegante Excelero or Challenger Ferries
