I actually run SSE on my iMac 27".
The MAC o/s allows you to Dual-Boot, which means you can either boot in MAC O/S or Windows O/S. I book in Windows O/S when I want to play SSE. Since the newer macs run Intel processors, all the new Macs can run PC software without any problems.
In all honesty, my SSE on my MAC seems to be more stable than a lot of other folks that is trying to run with their own PCs.
In terms of running Window's "within" the O/S system, that has been done before and is very stable. You can do that with Parallels and it will run SSE through a virtual window within the MAC OSX desktop. It's perfectly do able, but I don't prefer to do this since SSE is inherently unstable to begin with.
