Virtual Sailor conversions

hey guys :)
I have a questions, does anybody know how to convert Google Sketchup models into boats for Virtual Sailor??? any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I can convert the 3D model, however, the .cfg files are a pain in the rear, mainly because the co-ord system VS uses is stupid.

Nah, .cfg files are rather easy to make. As long as you know what you are doing with it.  :)

I also started this 'little business' 2 years ago to convert Google SketchUp ships to VS.  ;)

Type something like this into google:

google sketchup to virtual sailor


And then watch and read everything that popped up there, the first page will probably suffice, until you now how it works. There's the 'official' guide on their own website, that will come up, youtube clips, other tutes. It's pretty easy compared to most games.  :thumbs:

By going into the directory of the boat. You should see the skins there.
Also, if there're not there, then it is a basic color on the model so it can not be edited.

thanks :) now ive sorta re-painted it, im trying to put logos on it, ive already pasted the appropriate files into the directory, but nothing has changed :/ do I have to change the boats.x file???
