I like how the picture of the exterior of the pilot boat in the first post appears rather cropped..

We are currently testing and fine tuning the a patch that has a fix for the bouncing issues and multiplayer towing bug. There are also some other cool new features in it, but I can't say anything about that, yet..

Isnt the IALA system meant to be Starboard as green triangles and Square for port thought I might just mention it in case.

It is the IALA System. If you look closely, it is a portion of the chart in New York. The U.S. follows the Region B of the IALA System, in which it is "red to starboard". This is also followed by South America, the Philippines, Japan and Korea. Europe and most Asian countries follow Region A where it is "red to port".

Please see attachment for overview of the IALA Buoyage System

Buoyage always gives emphasis for entry into a port and are arranged to keep the red buoys on the port side & green buoys on the starboard side (in Region A) and vice versa in Region B. So when sailing out it is quite normal to have a red buoy on your starboard side (Region A)

The system of buoys developed independently in the Western hemisphere—principally in the US and Canada. In the US, it developed first on the Mississippi River.
When the first hazard on that river was marked, red seemed to be the natural choice for the color. That hazard happened to be on the East side of the river. Another reason often given was that it was done to confuse the Brits if they tried to come upriver to take St. Louis.
Canada followed the same convention because we share the St. Lawrence River—to do otherwise would have made navigating that river exciting.

Our B system spread to countries in the Western Pacific by our heavy trade in that area, and our publishing of charts by the Hydrographic Office under Mathew Maury.
European nations trading in that area had their own charts, of course. That theirs were not adopted locally might be due to their being considered proprietary commercial or military “secrets” by those nations.

This system, I thought it was created for and by IMO(International Maritime Organisation(a Un organisation)). But I am far from sure about that, just something I have read but it is some time ago so it can have been changed in my memory.

Neither the IMO or the UN existed in the Nineteenth Century. By the time that IMO came along, both systems were so firmly established that it was not feasible to change either one.

Mvsmith, yes of cource, I had mixed it up. Thanks for clearing it up.

In this new patch are we getting some more "bouys"? Like everyone who have seen a nautical map or have been out in any form of boat have seen that there is many many more things in the water than just red and green bouys, like for example we have "bouys" for ground and even marks for different directions of the ground. I would realy like to see some more of them in the game. Of cource not all that would not be needed but some of them be realy nice and lift the game a lot.

how many days has it been since swenson promised a release date a week later?

its definetly been a while.

but its been even longer since the last update came out, so that means (hopefully) that they are working hard to get it done, which means that theres alot of stuff in it, so if they're working hard on it and if its been months since the last patch came, then update 1.4 should come soon.

i'm guessing a month or so.

Ähm...sounds cool...but...what about the next update and the CCC implementations???? They should have more priority...

...I know what you will say now...they are working on multiple projects at a time and work already sooo hard on the update...then hurry on...

Butt anyway...I´m looking forward to the missions... ;-)

yeah, as much as I think this is good... the patch should be top priority, in my opion...

Cause no point doing missions if you end up bouncing halfway across a sea through bouncing... :/
