Hi captains,
have you also the feeling that the decelerating without throttle takes very long (just by stopping the engines)? Is this realistic?
I compare it with the Pride of Rotterdam where I have the feeling that the POR decelerates too fast, I can accelerate up to 22 knots and stop engine about 2 kilometers prior of the harbour entrance and at the entrance she is alreade down at 13-14 knots.
When I accelerate the Marlin to 45 knots and stop engine 2 kilometers before the harbour entrance she is still at about 30-35 knots..which I think is still a bit too fast for a catamaran in this speed. Normally catamarans (I just know the smaller cats) decelerate much faster.
What is your feeling about this? Is this realistic?
cheers
Ingo
