Best software for .rar?
« on: May 03, 2011, 17:43:07 »

Hi all,

I was just wondering which software you think is best to deal with .rar files...I've looked at a few like Winrar, and Winzip, but I'm not sure which to go for.

Any response would be appreciated,

Kind Regards,
Jack.

7-Zip is good as it deals with ZIP folders and RAR files. :)

I use an alternative file manager called Total Commander. Apart from lots of other things it can pack and unpack in several ways, including zip and rar, of course. Simple to use - handles packed files as directories - unpacking just by double clicking, when packing you have to specify the packing routine fist.

Has an endless trial period as well, but I've paid for it, because i use it all the time for countless tasks.
