Bouys on Maps?
« on: April 11, 2011, 22:14:38 »

Hi

Was wondering, any chance of increasing/decreasing the zoom you need to see the Bouys on charts? At the moment you seem to need to zoom right in (at least at Sydney where I am now)?

Many Thanks

I'm fully zoomed out on the chart for Dover, and I can see the buoys, except the ones along the channel by Calais.. Oh wait thats because there aren't any ::)

You still need buoys to find your way into Calais...?

Kidding aside, buoys on more realistic spots would be much appriciated, especially after the 'buoy parade' in Dover  :)

Was rather pointless slapping some buoys down in dover, I've never found them handy there

When on the bridge of a real ship, there is no zoom facility. However a pair of binoculars is an excellent substitute. Looking for bouys without them is rather pointless, unless, of course, one is happy to hit them first. ::) In rough seas it is sometimes even difficult to see buoys when quite close to them.

Don't need bouys.

Out of dover, a little to the right, snap out the schnapps, turn left when you hear the grinding noise of keel on Bleriot Plage, turn right when the fishermen on the pier shout "Monsieur rosbif, vouz le wrecked our poisson-ing"

You don't even need to apply the brakes- the dockside will do that for you.
