After New Patch 1.3.5 Graphic setting are not saved
« on: March 10, 2011, 03:27:34 »

I installed the patch and found out that my graphic settings were reset. When I try to select 1980x1080 60hz, and click on the save button, nothing happens. I thought you have to restart SSE after this change but nothing. It is not saving the new graphic selection and default to 1024x768.

Anyone else have this problem?

In the EngineSettings.ini you have the following statements which you can edit for configuring your display in SSE:

<RunWindowed>0.00</RunWindowed> Windowed mode or full screen
<ShowTitleBar>0.00</ShowTitleBar>   Title bar
<ResolutionX>1360.00</ResolutionX>  The horizontal resolution
<ResolutionY>768.00</ResolutionY>    The vertical resolution
<RefreshRate>60.00</RefreshRate>    The screen refresh rate.

Hello.
Try 1920x1080 at 60Hz. This is the resolution for full HD, and is supported by SSE.
I dont know where the 1980 res. come from, but 1920x1080 is the most usual :)

Hi Everyone,

Thank you so much for sending me the fixes but only one of these fixes worked.

The one with editing the INI file, the file already showed the correct screen size, but the screen still was set at 1024X768. When I followed the instructions to put a check on Windowed Screen, the resolution was set correctly but the frame rate was extremely slow. No matter what resolution I selected in Windowed mode, the frame rate was bad. If I take the check off the Windowed mode, the screen returns to 1024x768, with Black margins on both sides, but the frame rate is great.  When I checked the INI file, it still reads as 1920x1080 but the display reads 1024X768. I have never seen this issue and only after Patch 1.3.5 that I had these issues.

Hope this helps to find a problem. The graphic card Im using is a Nvidia 9800GTX with 512 MB RAM

I had the same problem - the INI file sorted it out so thank you!

Hi Guys,
Since installing the patch 1.3 (the problem continues with v1.3.5) I can't run SSE in full screen mode. When I choose the resolution 1920x1080x60 I get a black screen with the information that the monitor is not capable of this function and the game freezes. When editing the file .ini changing to windowed mode the game runs fine.
Are there solution to this problem? ???

Thank you all.

Sorry for  Google Translator my bad English. lol
