mystery ship
« on: February 06, 2011, 13:47:41 »

in this game a ship  is described and the other peopple have to name the ship being described. to begin we start with a very easy one

which ship is being described.

-she had 4 funnels
-she had 2 sisterships, one lauched around the same timethe other in 1914
-one of these sisterships was scrapped in 1935, the other became the longest serving ocean liner of the 20th century, before being scrapped in the 50s
-the vessel in question sank during world war 1.

the correct anser is lusitania. her sisterships were mauritania, scrapped in 1935 and also aquitania which became the longest serving liner of the 20th century, being scrapped in the 1950s.

a new mystery ship will be on here soon

I think that would be the HMS Belfast  :)

Btw, why not let the one who solved the mystery make a new mystery?
And if he didn't make one in like, 2-3 hours or so, anyone can go next.
Just an idea  ;)

Ok, sure.

Let's see...
I'll also start with an easy question:

What ship accompanied the battleship Bismarck on her first mission? How was this mission called?

I hope you don't mind the 2nd question  ;)

This mystery ship is one of the oldest and currently active steamboat and was at one time a modified pushboat during WWII. She is named after a city.
