SS not as "extreme"............yet
« on: February 02, 2011, 11:28:39 »

Been testing out SSE for awhile now and comparing it to real weather is not quite extreme. Since the "extreme" detail has been cut out for "performance" reasons you can now call it Ship Simulator 2010. But I have though about a solution for that. First thing you guys could do is bring in some scary wind howling sounds of strong winds, violent winds depending on the present in SSE so when you select hurricane it sounds like a hurricane. TO help with this would be good if the clouds look realistic, snow and rain also looked realistic. Then you would have to amplify the rain fall sound as well. To make the player fall of his/her's chair we will need some booming thunder sounds with light and the energy bolt itself. By making these modifications to the game it will be like using a electric car instead of a diesel powered one.Performance should still be stable enough to run the game, if you have a good rig like it has until today.

Here's a video from SH4 mod it's called "So you want realistic ocean? This would be for the present very strong gale, I can't imagine how bad a Hurricane would sound like, but it's an idea.

Beautiful, Puffy clouds they can be white, gray or dark gray depending on what's going on up there.
