PARTnerSHIP - the ship in pictures
« on: January 27, 2011, 06:26:24 »

Hello everybody,

I am just taking a shot at creating a game with a very nautical theme. I would encourage participation from as many as possible.

Aim of the game ...
PARTnerSHIP is all about searching the Net for pictures of ships, but with a twist.
It will also give you an opportunity to refer to online nautical dictionaries / glossaries for assistance.
The ships can be of any type - merchant ships, cruise liners, warships, yachts, RHIBs, etc.

The twist ....
The picture should ONLY be a part (space / fitting / structure / machinery / appliance, etc) of a ship. Not a general view of a whole ship

How to play ....
I will explain it in pictures ....

I have decided to post the picture of the forecastle of a ship

Forecastle

Now since the word "Forecastle" ends with "E", the next player should post a picture of a ship's part beginning with "E". This should be specified by the poster - "Next picture should start with the letter "E"

So, let's take "EPIRB" and post it.

Got the idea ? Now anybody can post a picture of a ship's part beginning with "B"

Any player is welcome to politely contest another player's picture if he / she thinks it is inappropriate or not nautical and post a picture in lieu. As always let's keep it nice and tidy.

In the event, the game has poor participation or disinterest it will be discontinued.

Good luck and have fun !

So who's next - The picture should begin with "B"

If I understand correctly, that's a wrong answer..
A Ro-pax is a type of ship. Answers should be about a part of a ship..

I think next letter is still R.. :)

Okay ... So let's say my previous picture was showing a ro-pax hatch, which is a part of a ship. So, next letter is H :)
