an unusual use for red jet 4.

i was messing around 1 day and i found you can turn red jet 4 into the fastest tug on the game. it can tow the north star across the atlantic at over 3 times north star's top speed (30 knots instead of 10 knots)

i know it may not be news but i just found it facinating

It's very easy to get the "Red Jet" add-on because it is FREE !!!! See below.



You can download it from "The Shipyard" in the www.shipsim.com website.

Do you have the "New Horizons" add-on pack ? If so, then you can download lots of free missions which are compatible with it.

Hi Max,

Even the "Northern Star" is available as a free download from The Shipyard. You will find it under the Ship Simulator 2008 tab. But to play the missions that come with it you will need New Horizons add on pack and other Shipyard vessels.

all missions are free and some of the ships in this packs
but some of them you most have the ss08 New Horizons add ons to play them and this pack are not free. it are even mission for Furie and Elbe to but you most bay them before you can play those missions, read the redme file for the packs before you add them to the game, then you will find out if you have all that takes to play them. so Northern star missions are free but you cant play them if you not have  New Horizons
and some of the missions have also AI ships that need New Horizons

its not just north star, red jet can tow quite a few vessels at very high speed, along with north star they include
-the arie visser
-the pushboat
-the jetski
-the marbella delight
-the p6 police boat
-the pioneer
-the portoferraio angel
-the power boat ( though not as fast as its own top speed)
-the harbour tug
-the water taxi
