Quest Viewer ... Not Responding
« on: January 01, 2011, 16:05:38 »

Hello there fellow Captains,

Just purchased Ship Simulator Extremes via STEAM and was able to play it for three days. The game has stop responding upon launch, leaving me no choice but to pull up task manager and ending Quest Viewer exe. For some reason the game hangs up and stops loading at 50% sometimes at 100%. Before this problem started I had updated my nVidia driver to the latest driver released. Thinking that driver might have been the problem I was able to ROLL BACK the driver, But still no luck upon launching game. I really enjoyed the game for the first three days and would like to play it, Ive read the numerous posts on bugs and glitches the game has, If there is anything I could do to make this game launch again I would appreciated if any can help.
Here are my system specs,

Intel Quad Core Q6600 2.40ghz
4 Gigs Corsair RAM
Nvidia BFG GTX 275

Thank you

Hi FDNY
I play civ 5 through steam sometimes the game will not launch because it say's
that I am not connected to steam allthough I am online.
To get passed this I launch steam first then go to libary and launch game.

My version is not steam but it may be worth checking out.

Hi FDNY,

Welcome to the Forum and here's wishing you a Happy New Year !

You may have observed that lots of users of the Steam version of SSE are experiencing various issues. It is hoped that the Update 1.3 which is due in the near future will address all these problems.

At this moment, the only help I can offer is to lead you to a post and pardon me if you have already read it. I am not a Steam version user and I opted for the DVD directly from shipsim.com
