Mixing Music
« on: October 17, 2010, 01:25:12 »

Hi guys,

As some of you already know, I am a bit of a DJ and do mobile discos ect. I thought that tonight, with a couple of spare hours I would mix some tracks together.

The tunes are trance and house music, mixed by me using my American DJ MCD-710 CD players, and a Gemini CS19 Mixer.

You can listen to the mix by clicking here (http://silverlinehosting.co.uk/radio/). I'm streaming a pre-recorded mix, but it was live at the time (earlier tonight).

Your thoughts and comments would be very welcome indeed! :)

Thanks. I'll probably run the recording again one day, or maybe I'll do some mixing with some more tunes soon :)

A DJ from the UK would definitely impress my guests ;D

I was just asking because here they want at least £100 an hour including setup of the equipment, but guess I have to expect something like that.

£100 an hour! Woah.

I usually charge about £120 a night! That's for a 4-hour disco, including setup and packdown! :)

Hi guys,

Well I'm impressed - there's 3 people listening to my mix right now! Let me know what you all think, it's not a perfect mix and there are quite a few mistakes (it was rather earlier in the morning! 2am)!

The mix is 2 hours and 40 minutes long and I will be leaving the PC on while I sleep so you can all enjoy my mix :)

Hi Chris,

What's the problem?

and no worries about the sleep thing, my machine is VERY quiet anyway. I don't mind it whirring away in the corner in my rack :)

Perhaps, try it in Internet explorer or Firefox. Check out the plugins on the bottom of the page :)

I have Internet Explorer, then tried Firefox, It's running in the player, just for some odd reason I cannot hear it. I probably messed something up with the sound  I have my volume on, I've tried it on speakers and off. I don't know what my problem is  :-\
