New patch = can no longer play the game

When I try nto run I now get an error message - SmokeEmissionModelCC.dll
then 'A channel that is needed for this projetc ..... etc'

It was working before the patch - now not working.
Tried reinstalling whole game - now get that error every time and canot play at all - even without the patch !!

Help would be appreciated
