Fuzzy beach Water on Calais Hoverpad
« on: September 15, 2010, 12:04:41 »

Hi

I have this here because I am not sure where it would go, but...

I just "beached" my hovercraft at Calais (too much speed coming in to stop before land )

And I have found that the corner of the beach has fuzzy water coming and going on the beach part.

It comes and goes, but very high frequency.

Occasionally the beach is there, but more often there is "freckles" of water

The same problem, manifested in a different way, is seen in Dover. The hovercraft cannot travel over land, so the water must be raised to coincide with the terrain, but a smidge below it.

A well known phenomenon in Air Traffic Control.
