Steam has removed this buggy half finished Sim
« on: August 30, 2010, 16:52:45 »

I just noticed that steam have removed all links to this game from their store....unfortunately i had already bought it and gone through the painful process of getting it to work.
Well done Steam-but a shame that there won't be a recall of boxed copies in stores...

Uglyspirit,

The reason why Steam have removed this from their system is because they're working on a solution to fix the problems currently being reported.

Why should VSTEP recall the sim?  It works fine on my system...a few little items, but nothing I can't live with until the patches come out.  That's like taking a car back to the dealer and wanting a refund because your gear shift knob is white instead of wood.

Yes the game works well on my system, but the game does run slowly because of my hardware. I'm using computer architecture that was released about 4-6 years ago! :)

Vstep are not re-calling the game, versions bought directly from Vstep are fine. Its the version from Steam that has been pulled for the time being, has many problems for players and is being sorted  :2thumbs:

Vstep have already released a patch for the game. When downloaded and trying to install it is giving me the warning that NO VALID SHIP SIMULATOR INSTALLED. Are we on the slippery slide to nowhere?

we are indeed on a slippery slide to nowhere.First people didnt recieve their copy,  then the security codes didnt work,   then if were lucky to get the game running you could only see the sea,  then the patch they releaced couldnt find the game on your system ...god only knows whats coming next......
