Greetings,
Untill now,i like to sail in sunny weather, because i mis the dynamics of the storm at this time. However when this would come out,i prohably want to sail the vessels in storm, and riding the waves.

If you did it in real life you would not think so!

I don't know. I like rough weather. (If were on a ship that can stand it.)

Waveheights of 15-20 meters, been there and liked it.
Waveheights of 2-3 meters, been there and did not like it at all.
But it all depends on what ship/boat you're sailing with  :)

Yeah. If you're on a liner say then you feel safe. I wouldn't like it on a small boat though.

I would like to rid in waves on a ferry or cruiseliner but i would hate trying to get to sleep in a thunderstorm, too noisey. :D lol.

I think that if you read between the lines in the reply by Wout he says: “It’s easier to see rough weather on a PC monitor than actually be in it at the very rough sea” ;)

Maybe you can simulate it somehow by getting yourself a hydraulic motion platform and sit on it with your computer. Maybe also use an water compressor blowing ice cold water directly at your head to simulate heavy rain, and back of this a major fan blowing a big bunch of air straight at you..

Well… don’t forget to make the PC watertight… ;D :D

I am sailing for a long time by now, and when your on a 10m yacht with the prediction of a storm, you don't want to be on the water.
I like clear weather with a wind like 6 bft and not to big waves. But offcourse, on a computer screen... 8)

I have allready been twice on a Dover-Calais Ferry and on my way back, there where high waves (sometimes water splashed over), and I liked it for an hour, but longer  :(

I thought the rain in 2006 looked really sad the rain surrounds the boat and if you zoom out and make it to a helicopter view you can see a circle of no-rain. So with this I like sunny weather best :)
