Ship sim extremes... cannot log in to get my key :P
« on: August 27, 2010, 12:43:49 »

Basicly, ive been logged into the ship sim website so long, that when it logged me out today (of all days) i forgot my password, ive asked for it to be sent to me and it said the email was sent to my account... two hours ago... my lisence key is on my account and i have SSE downloaded and installed but unable to play, very annoying. is the mailbot overloaded or somthing, i usually don't have to wait this long.

Sorry if this seems a bit annoying, like all of you guys ive been waiting so long for this game and it seems somthing as small as this should not interupt my time in the game :/

This is getting rediculous...3 hours and no reset email... it shouldn't take this long, i pre-ordered this game and i can't play it...

Maybe it would have helped if you had remembered your password..   partly your own fault too, would you not say?

Why not try again in case it didn't go through alright..  It should work.. I just tried and already have it after 10 seconds.

So it's working great, I suspect you might have made a mistake somewhere.

Ive tried four times already, if it wasn't a valid email adress the system will tell you that it doesn't exist, ive had to reset before and the password was random letters and numbers...this does not work anymore, i know this because i saved the email containing it.

Well I can't say anything except that it works for me.  :-\

And why would it work for one and not for another, I would wonder. If your input is okay, and you have checked both your normal mailbox and spambox, then there's not much else to say.

Maybe send them an email at info@vstep.com then, if you think it's not coming anymore.

But from where I am sitting, it just works. And it's not a system that is arbitrary. If it works for me, it should work for you too, in theory at least....

I have emailed them at the "support" page on the main site about it, very disapointed though, i pre-ordered and have the game installed but i can't play it just because of this :/

Well, all I can say is..  keep track of your login credentials, and it wouldn't have happened.

I made a new account just now.. with an alternate emailaddress.. and that too works.

The system seems okay. Are you really sure you checked unwanted mail? etc?

No AV blocking you?  Do you get newsletters from Vstep? Did you get the most recent one about the release?

yes, ive checked all of those and nothing appears to of helped, we think we have found the problem with the email account, we can send emails but not recieve any so looks like the mailbot is working fine, we are currently on the phone to our network manager (who also supplies our email) thank you for your help.

I not agree it arrive me many time to have to change my pasword because of security, and when i don't go on a forum fora year or two i don't remeber the password because i was changing many times a month. Now i have a sure password and i don't change it anymore.
Yes, i know, very interisting story  ;D

But what good is a password if you don't know what it is?  ;)

Even if you change it every day, you'd still need to know it. You can't just rely on cookies. And if you don't go to a forum for over a year, then there's the reminder option.  :)

And as I said.. the password reminder works perfectly. It wasn't at fault here.
