So I went to the orthodontist and they have to move my jaw forward...

It starts in 1 weeks and then I get the device in 3 weeks...

But it is this (http://www.r-polortholab.com/media/AntiS_086.jpg)

And it is going to hurt for 3 days and then it will be normal for the next 14 months.

Sounds bad, but not necessarily ;)

If you have any concerns, discuss them with the orthodontist is my advice :)

I don't really get to argue, it has to be done.

Atleast hot salt water helps with pain apparently :?

Naaaa I don't think it will hurt much, You will be sore for some time, but that is it. Don't be scared about it

Well on a other forum I post there is someone wo had the same thing done. But after this you can't eat solid food for 6 weeks I thought it was ???

You have to "drink" all youre food. So look at the bright sight of it. You can start playing astronaut ;)

At least I think that you are referring to that kind of device ???

You can't eat sticky, hard. Food, you don't have to drink your food. And even if I was an astronaut they at freeze dried stuff not liquid.

Sept. 15th is when my first appointment and then the 23rd? is when I get it in... I will be spending some time around here.

hey no wories mate you get used to it i have braces and i hate going to the orthadontist and you can always "bend the rules" i rember when i had mine fitted i mised an entire half term of art lessons becuasue i kept having appointments on the same day.

Hi Agent Austin,

I had that brace to do the same job as your having done. It hurt for about 48 hours after, i recommend take 2 days of school (good for the pain, and its two days off!), its agonizing, eat soup and noodles  ;D After 2 days i couldnt feel a thing in my mouth, its like my mouth became acustomed to it! Goodluck with it!  ;D

It is on a friday so I have the weekend to recover. I might get out of P.E. on monday though :)
