1.4.2 dynamics ? NathanC.
« on: August 20, 2010, 16:29:37 »

Hi,
I read the articel in Shipsim Magazine Issue 1, by NathanC,  about Pride of Rotterdam .
In the third part he write this:

" The 1.4 dynamics of the ship are brilliant, the ship
is very manoeuvrable with bow thrusters and the
ship turns very quickly with the rudder. I am not a
fan of the 1.4.2 dynamics as the ship handles very
sluggishly, but you cannot blame VSTEP as P&O
very helpfully didn’t provide the developers with
any handling characteristics."

What is 1.4 dynamics ?
What is 1.4.2 dynamics.
What is the difference ?

Have not read  about it before. But otherwise it is giving a good example of how to handle the carferry, howe to turn, move, dock in the Magazine. This in the following parts of the article.
Appreciate an answer.

Regards
Nils

Hi Nils :)

Thanks for downloading the magazine.

1.4 and 1.4.2 are different patches that were made available to update Ship Simulator 2008. The latest being 1.4.2. The dynamics were changed from the 1.4 version. You can download the updates here if you haven't already.
