Hiya Tavares,

If the price is 52 euro's for you, then it's considerably more than the 'clean price'. So I would take it, the shipping is indeed already included.

I have inquired with Vstep about a few questions that have arisen these last days, this being one of them. If there is something more to tell, I'll be sure to tell it!

Regards,
Fred

While the question was already answered elsewhere, I added the quote here in case others wondered about the same thing and looked into this thread for an answer.

I think he meant in US dollars..  $51.99 is the download price, I expect there will be some postage above that for the boxed version.. :)

Well,

The price a customer pays, when ordering on the Vstep website, is SHIPPING INCLUDED.

There will be no charges later. But, due to an unforseen error in the billing system, there has been no shipping calculated for some early customers.

These can now consider themselves lucky, to have benefitted from this bug. They will not be charged the additional costs, as the paperwork was already concluded on their purchases.

Regards,
Fred

Hi Tavares,

You're welcome!

I'm not 100% sure on that laptop. I'm inclined to say it meets the requirements and will handle SSE, but I am not sure how well it would do. Laptops are really not my thing and I know little about the performance of that hardware setup, or that graph card.

Maybe someone with a bit more experience with them can give you better advice... Sorry I can't be more clear on this one.  :-\

Kind Regards,
Fred

Yes, it will. The graphic card is a midrange one, but very capable, the CPU is very recent and capable too. However, I don't know how well it will, never played the game.

About buying a laptop or a desktop, well, only you can say what fits you best.

Hello!

Oh my god, if you are not sure if these "machines" will run the SEE enough good, then I NEED TO START VORREY!

My computer:

Type: Desktop computer
Processor: Intel Core Duo 7300 - 2X 2.66 - 3 MB L2 cache
Graphic card: Nvidia 8600 GT - 512 MB ( On Windows 7 - 256 MB )
RAM: 3 GB DDR2 on 800 MGhz memory
Hard Disc: WD - 640 GB
Operation sistem: Windows 7
Direct X: 11

If you would like see some more, Dxdiagg is attached.

I'm a little bit scared right now.... what if it doesen't work, right now i don't have some money to throw on the better parts fro the computer...

I'm hopeing it will WORK!

About the post costs...

When i was buying the Collectors Edition some 8 months ago, on the web site ( shipsim.com ) the price was 29.99 € for boxed version, i order it and on the latest moment when i was clicking the order button on Paypal the price was 39.99 €, 10 € more, those were the postal costs i think.

But now, at 09 i ordered the donation boxed version of Ship Simulator Extremes and the price was 42.99 €, the same price is on the shipsim.com so, the post codes ARE included... i think.

Kind regards.

Fred,
Thank you so.

TNeves,
thank you too

Capt Mitch,
Thank you.
With such desktop you don't have to worry maybe till next 2 years  ::)

But when we are investing on a lap top, thats is something really different, theres no way to change video board and or some others components.
I really preffer to have lap tops as I'm moving every day from home to work, school, pilotage and to photography.
Then you can image what kind of slave I'm looking likes

Thanks to all.

Anyhow.
I will wait for the SSE at home then I will do the test directly on the lap top before buy it. Otherwise I shall take a desk top :-\ and remain with my actual lap top. :'(

Cheers

If I may give you my personnal advice (this is my choice, and I'm very happy with it) :

I have a not so bad desktop, powerful enough to run games (amongst others, extremes beta ;)) or "big" softwares.

At work, or when traveling, I just bring with me a little eeePc. Those don't cost a lot of money, they're very small and transportable, have a huge autonomy (compared to standard laptop), are very light ... Ideal for transport (far better than classic laptop).

Thank you very much Tavaros Junior.

Now i'm calmed and happy!  I hope my computer will work on SSE.

But i'm vorrey for some other reasson. My graphic card should be 512 MB, but in Dxdiag, there writes 1512 MB.

Maybe my graphic card is taking the memory from RAM memory, and that is the problem, because SSE needes at least 3 GB of RAM, and i have it 3, but if my graphic card takes 1 GB, then i'm in a bad situation.

Thanks for help!

Kind regards.
Capt. Mitch
